We are excited about the acquisition that has taken place between Calvary Chapel University and Calvary Chapel Education Association (CCEA)! I truly see how this ministry can be such a blessing to anyone wanting to continue their education. The website redesign is just phase 1! There is a vision to see this website triple in size! There is such an excitement around the possibilities of such an organization, and we are real excited to be apart of this ministry!

The NEW CCU website has some built in e-commerce features that allow students to pay for registration and sign-up for new classes right on the website! Take a look around and let us know what you think!

CCEA Redesign

In just 3 short years the Calvary Chapel Education Association (CCEA) has tripled in size! I truly see how this ministry can be such a blessing to schools and colleges. With such a steady, rapid growth we needed a better solution for getting news and resources to teachers, students and administrators.

The NEW CCEA website has all of the tools needed to accomplish their goal. First off a sharp new Blog! This is going to be used as a tool for teachers and administrators to reach out across the nation to its readers!

We also needed a way to highlight the CCEA “Partners”. This was accomplished by offering a spot on every page with a link back to their website to view the resources they can provide.

I am excited with what the future will hold for this organization!

Sunday Night LIVE!

I know what you are thinking… “Sunday Night LIVE?” No, it’s not a new television program. It’s a youth out reach, and you guessed it, it happens on Sunday nights. This is by far one of the fastest websites we had to put together.

Since the name sounds so much like Saturday Night Live, we decided to use a “TV Show Theme” geared for the youth! Calvary Chapel of Downey has a vision of expanding the current website to include a LIVE webcasts (via UStream), and an archive of previous nights. Twitter, Facebook and RSS feeds are on the list too! Lot’s to do, not enough hours in the day!

Everett Roofing

Working with Flash is probably our favorite thing to do! We love coming up with new and original ideas that draw in audiences. Everett Roofing was no different.Everett Roofing wanted their new roofing website to ask you the question: “Are you ready”, for the next storm that is!

After some animation, simulation and special Sound FX, I think we were able to pull this off! Let us know what you think.

Content Management System

Well if you haven’t noticed already, we have changed the website a bit. We are using a powerful tool called WordPress! WordPress is an open-source tool that will allow you to manage a blog or website! What is so great about WordPress you ask? Well it is free for starters and people are constantly adding new features to this growing technology.

There are many other great Content Management Systems, but we like to keep things simple. WordPress has a great Administrative panel with many options to help you publish the information you need to your website.

We have installed WordPress on various websites and have heard great feedback from all sorts of users. We have also installed other Content Management Systems, which are great, but do require license fees to use. I don’t know about you, but I like free!

The Afterglow

The Afterglow is a brand new Friday night Bible study that is taking place at Calvary Chapel of Downey. It is geared toward the youth, so making this website appealing to the youth was key. Using social networks to drive traffic to your site is a great way to get more exposure. It allows you to reach audiences you might not have come in contact with. We felt that Twitter would be the best choice for this audience. This has opened a new door to communicate with everyone!

Twitter is a growing technology that can drive more traffic to your site if used correctly. I will write an article soon describing how you can use Twitter on your website.

Tacos Don Jorge

When Tacos Don Jorge approached us they were looking not only for a redesign, but for a way to generate more traffic to their site. They wanted an “authentic” look, while keeping information easily accessible. Since the launch of their new site there have been many more visits and customers asking about their catering service! They have also asked for a themed look across their printed materials and menu! It was fun working with the team over at Tacos Don Jorge, and by the way, their food is amazing!

Calvary Chapel Education Association

This non-profit organization is rapidly growing and expanding its services. When Digital Axis was asked to redesign their existing website, we knew it would be a huge undertaking. Their previous 5 page website lacked organization, and information, and that was just the beginning. After a year of their redesign, traffic grew so much that we were asked to create an E-Commerce store for their products and conference registrations.

Today the CCEA is well on it’s way to becoming an Accreditation provider for Christian Schools across the nation! The CCEA website is their primary tool for posting information about conferences, conventions, and student activities.

Choosing a theme for your website could make it a very memorable website for a viewer! When we were designing “The Grizzlies” new website, we wanted to make a presence unlike any other. Bringing the outdoors to your web browser was no easy task, but after hours of preparation we were finally able to pull it off!

The Content Management System currently handles about 15 staff and teachers updating the website on a daily basis! Everything from, sports, to daily letters, to monthly letters, to multimedia, and even calendars get updated constantly! This has helped build a gap between the school and parents to provide parents with the latest information at their convenience.
